Under the Palapas

Most of the photos I took could be used as desktop wallpaper.

Friends

We met some fun people too from Mpls/St. Paul area, the great state of Iowa [Iowa Rules!], and our neighbors to the north in Toronto and Nova Scotia. Here Mark and 4 of the 6 TRIP sisters check out the ocean water temperature.

Adios

We had a wonderful time in the sun and in meeting new people...trying out new funny named drinks and food. It was well worth the trip! Adios amigos!

Sail on

Many sail boats made for great photography! OK, and the palapas too!

Colorful

Every time housekeeping came, the towels would be covered with fresh flowers. So very colorful and more elaborate each day!

Entertainment

Each night was a special event at the Tesoro hotel. This was Mexican food night.

Sandy beaches

Very nice sandy beaches even if the ocean is a little wreckless for swimming or jumping waves. Mark walked the sand every morning as many guests did.

Too much sun

There was enough sun for everyone...even us North Dakotans who don't tan as evenly as the rest of the world population!

Sunsets

The sunsets are...well, see for yourself.

Marina

Took a walk to the local Marina. It really is beautiful in Ixtapa and the weather is incredible!

Pool Side

Very relaxing to sit by the pool and swim up to the pool bar. You could find us there every day!

Ixtapa Island

We did venture out on Wednesday to go snorkeling at Ixtapa Island. The trip on the water taxis we found brought our heart rates up! The snorkeling wasn't the best, but I enjoyed it.

Tesoro Hotel

Here's where we stayed for a full week. Nothing fancy, but clean. People always trimming the greenery and sweeping and scrubbing.

Nothing but sun

Mark and I spent most of our time in the sun

....oh, and drinking and eating was part of

the day's event too! It looks like I'm the only one
sunning and drinking.

Footprints in the Sand

The end of Day one brought us to the ocean shore. The Ixtapa hotel is located along sandy beaches. Colored flags signify whether or not it is safe to swim. Green is good to go; Yellow is caution; Red is danger; and Black is fatal. The flag was always black in front of our hotel, so we didn't jump the waves like others did.

Parasailing

First thing Mark and I did upon arrival was hit the beach and enjoy the view. We got to the hotel in that 4:00pm timeframe Sunday March 2nd. We headed to the pool area and watched the parasailing going on along the beach.
